{"id":11,"date":"2008-03-05T10:55:31","date_gmt":"2008-03-05T10:55:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.lonkieffer.com\/?p=11"},"modified":"2008-02-26T00:07:46","modified_gmt":"2008-02-26T00:07:46","slug":"not-so-happy-valentine%e2%80%99s-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lonkieffer.com\/?p=11","title":{"rendered":"Not-so Happy Valentine\u2019s Day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Valentine&rsquo;s Day is under attack for being a Hallmark Holiday!&nbsp;&nbsp; So orchestrated as to being stuffy, scheduled, and, dare I say &ldquo;forced?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Charlotte Bronte (Author of &ldquo;Jane Eyre&rdquo; and &ldquo;The Professor&rdquo;) had it right in declaring of our busy, structured and fast paced world that, &ldquo;life is so constructed that an event does not, cannot, will not match the expectation.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of expectations; if you have them; speak of them.&nbsp; Share them and give them a chance to be real, and be met, or, be quiet when they are not.&nbsp; Speak now or forever hold your peace!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A co-worker told me she was upset with her husband this Valentine&rsquo;s Day.&nbsp; He bought, snuck into the house, installed and then put a big red bow on a brand new STAINLESS STEEL DISHWASHER!&nbsp; SURPRISE!<\/p>\n<p>I&rsquo;m sure it was a magical moment for them both!<\/p>\n<p>Despite her saying over and over again how happy she was last year that he simply gave her a cheap box of chocolate and a hand-written invitation to dinner he FAILED TO MEET HER EXPECTATION that he do it again this year!<\/p>\n<p>First, let me explain men.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Women, I know men, men are friends of mine; and women; you are not men!
